Course Description:
Managing anxiety disorders and phobias require integrative psychosocial interventions. On one hand, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) provides effective approaches and techniques in managing anxiety and phobia through restructuring of cognition and behavior. On the other hand, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) equips clients with skills in emotional regulation and distress tolerance. Integrating CBT and DBT techniques in managing anxiety and phobia allows a more holistic and adaptive approach to managing complex clinical cases. This 8-hour advanced-level workshop enhances the foundational skills in CBT and DBT in the management of anxiety and phobia. It introduces advanced applications of CBT and DBT, tools and techniques, case formulation, and handling treatment resistance in clinical practice.
