Course Description:
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a behavioral intervention that combines mindfulness, acceptance, and values-based techniques to increase psychological flexibility. This one-day advanced training is designed for licensed psychologists and mental health professionals seeking to deepen their understanding and clinical application of ACT in treating anxiety and phobia. The training will cover the ACT model, key therapeutic processes, techniques for working with experiential avoidance, and strategies to help clients build a meaningful life aligned with their values. Participants will engage in immersive experiential exercises, case discussions, and skills-based simulations to ensure practical integration of ACT in real-world clinical practice.
